Dr. Kristee Haggins is a community healer, African-centered psychologist and professor who takes a holistic approach to healing mind, body, spirit and community. She is a founding member of Safe Black Space and a trainer for the Emotional Emancipation Circles (EEC). For over 25 years, Dr. Kristee has focused on Black mental health and wellness, noting the impact of Black racial stress and trauma on Black bodies. She strives to help people of African ancestry heal from the lies about our inhumanity and to remember our true Blacknificence. Dr. Kristee teaches doctoral level courses in multicultural counseling and therapy skills, helping to develop culturally competent future psychologists. In addition, she consults with and provides training to agencies and organizations.
