Brief info

La Roux has been involved with Safe Black Space since 2018. La Roux is an experienced and passionate Public Health professional with extensive experience working to improve the health of communities. Currently, La Roux serves the Stupski Foundation as the Bay Area Health Program Officer. She leads equity-focused grantmaking strategies in Alameda and San Francisco Counties. Most recently, La Roux served as the Policy Director for Community Wellness for the HOPE SF initiative, the nation’s first large-scale community development and racial justice initiative. Previously, La Roux worked at the California Department of Public Health in various capacities where she focused on improving health equity across the state. She received a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
